The Red Shield Appeal breakfasts
A 300+ breakfast doesn't need to be a headache, let us bring all the elements together for you.

For a number of years Frances was heavily involved with The Salvation Army’s annual Red Shield Appeal business breakfast. The aim behind these events was to communicate with important donors and the broader community about the charity’s invaluable work.

To offer some insight into the event management and communication skills available at Solid Ink, we’ll reflect on one particular breakfast event which involved Frances arranging a sit-down event for 300+ people.

In addition to managing the basics such as food, drink, table placing and invitees, Frances was also in charge of securing the MC (Channel 9 newsreader Peter Hitchener), writing speeches, managing TV crews, developing run sheets, briefings with AV teams and ensuring a smooth event on the day. There was a lot of leg-work for this three-hour event but we were thrilled that it was such a great success.

High profile events made easy
High profile speaker management went off without a hitch thanks to Solid Ink’s hard work and attention to detail.

Solid Ink teamed up with The Salvation Army to get more than 30 guest speakers ready for a three-day international social welfare convention.

Industry leaders, university professors, Aboriginal elders and aid workers were among the list of speakers that included World Vision Chairman, Tim Costello, and ABC Radio National presenter, John Cleary.

For this distinguished line-up, Solid Ink developed speaker biographies, drafted synopses for individual and group presentations and prepared speaking schedules. Additionally, we facilitated the panel discussions and were in attendance for the duration of the event, providing essential support to handle speaker enquiries and management on the client’s behalf.
